Each jar includes:
– 270g of our buttery-soft, handmade scented playdough
– Themed sensory goodies

Notes

  • Store play dough in included air tight jars to keep it fresh for 3+ months.
  • Our dough is natural with no preservatives, so it will not last forever.
  • Items may vary slightly from kit to kit
  • Salt crystallization is normal - just knead with warm water. In extreme heat, store in the fridge to prolong freshness.
  • All of our sensory dough is scented

Warning - Not suitable for children under 3 years due to small parts. Adult supervision required.

We absolutely love MishMash Playdough Kits. Finn has three now, and they’ve become a staple both at home and whenever we’re out and about. She can stay happily engrossed for ages, creating and playing. There is never any screen time when we take these with us.

Our particular favourite is the Unicorn Squash & Stash kit. It is the perfect size to pop into her bag, making it ideal for days out, cafés, or travel. They also make the most wonderful birthday gifts. They are unique, engaging, and beautifully put together.

We can’t wait to add another kit to her growing collection!

We absolutely love our our squash and stash kit!!! It’s given my daughter hours of entertainment and it’s so perfect for travel too! Plus the play dough smells AMAZING!!!!! We love this little business!!

As with all of our Mish Mash products, my daughter loved this. The squash and stash jars are so good as they are compact and keep everything together - a lovely idea. The value for money is great and we can’t wait to get more.

Maybe my daughter and I are just not creative (!) but neither of us understood the point of this. She played with it for 5 minutes and then asked for something else. Some tips for how to play with it could be useful to include in the jar.

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your thoughts. I’m sorry to hear that your daughter didn’t connect with the Unicorn Squash & Stash Jar as you’d hoped.

The playdough kits and jars are designed to be open-ended, so children can use them in many ways, through imaginative play, storytelling, or even on-the-go creative moments. The unique design of the jar is beneficial to carry on-the-go (restaurants/flights etc.) Some ideas for play- 1. Mixing colours: Squashing and combining the different colours of the dough creates a new, unique colours which might be a fun way to explore primary and secondary colours.
2. Story-Making: The trinkets and unicorn stamp can be used to create mini scenes and make up stories together.
3. Fine Motor Skills: Pressing, stamping, working with pom-poms and other playdough tools you might have encourages fine motor skills.

I really appreciate your suggestion about including play tips in the jar, that’s a fantastic idea, and I’ll be working on including simple ideas in future kits to help parents and children get the most out of sensory play.

Many parents share photos of their children playing with the jars and kits on our Instagram page, which can also be helpful for inspiration. As a small business just a few months old, every review really matters to us, and I hope you might give MishMash Kits another try in the future so your daughter can experience the fun we hope to bring.

My daughter has 3 squash and stash jars now and loves every one and especially the “treasures” inside. She can sit and play with one for ages, I think the longest so far is over an hour! Great for mummy and her hot cup of tea too! Can’t wait to see what comes next!

My 2 year old cannot stop playing with this set! We’ve brought it on holiday with us as it’s so practical to throw into a bag and has kept my daughter entertained, playing imaginatively for hours! Can’t wait to order more, would highly recommend! 🤍
