Our Story

The Beginning

MishMash Kits began at home, inspired by my daughter and her love for playdough. Like many parents, I was always looking for activities that felt meaningful, held her attention, and encouraged open-ended play.

The Play

We tried lots of commercial playdough but I found that it was either too hard for her to mould or dried up too quickly. So I started making my own. Playdough that was softer, long lasting with fun scents and colours. It felt inviting and could be played with again and again. To make it even more engaging, I began adding themed trinkets and loose parts, turning simple play into magical mini worlds. Each kit became an invitation to create, explore and tell stories. 

Our Everyday

MishMash Kits also grew from everyday family life - meals out, flights and days on the go. I wanted something quick to pack, easy to set up, and travel-friendly offering a playful alternative when we needed a calm, hands-on activity. 

The Details

Each kit is thoughtfully curated to encourage creativity, support fine motor skills and spark joy. They're designed for open-ended sensory play whether it's ten minutes of focussed play or a longer stretch of imaginative story-telling.
